Galbanum essential oil is extracted from the aromatic gum resin of the plant Ferula galbaniflua and Ferula rubricaulis. These belong to the Ferula genus of plants. Galbanum essential oil has an earthy and woodsy scent that helps to stay calm and centered. It is known by different names including Ferula gummosa, galbanum oleoresin and Ferule gommeuse.
