About massage & bath
Can I add cedarwood straight to my bath?
No. Essential oils don't mix with water and sit on top in neat drops. Mix them into a carrier oil first, then add a tablespoon of the mix.
Why the patch test?
Cedarwood can irritate sensitive skin. Try a little of the mixed oil on your inner arm and wait 24 hours.
Will the bath be slippery?
A little. Rinse the tub after and take care getting out.
About hair & scalp oil
How often should I use it?
Twice a week, before you wash your hair.
Will it make my hair greasy?
Only until you wash it. Jojoba rinses out with shampoo.
Can I add it to my shampoo?
Yes: 1 drop of Cedarwood in a palmful of shampoo, used straight away. Don't add it to the whole bottle.
About perfume & roll-on blends
Why so little citrus?
Only 2 drops of Bergamot in 30 ml. Bergamot reacts with sunlight, so on skin it stays under 0.4%.
Can I wear it in the sun?
Wear it on skin your clothes cover. If your roll-on has Bergamot in it, keep that skin out of the sun for 12 hours: Bergamot reacts with sunlight.
About soap & candle making
Why melt-and-pour?
No lye and no special kit: the base melts, takes the scent and sets in a few hours. A good first soap.
Can I add more drops for a stronger bar?
Keep it to about 1%: 50 drops in 250 g. More oil makes the bar harsher on skin, not much stronger.
Everything else
Which cedarwood is this?
Cedrus deodara, the Himalayan cedar, sourced from Nepal. It's drier and less sweet than Atlas cedarwood.
Can I put it straight on my skin?
No. Cedarwood can irritate sensitive skin. Mix it into a carrier oil first and patch test on your inner arm 24 hours before.
Which size should I pick?
Most people pick Complete. Routines over $50 ship free, and over $75 they also get a free Eucalyptus. The Starter is the three items one recipe needs; the Collection adds two more.
Do I save when I buy more than one?
Yes, on everything in your cart: 2 items 10% off, 3 to 5 items 15% off, 6 or more 20% off. It's applied automatically.
When does my order ship free?
When the products in your cart come to $50 or more after discounts. A free Eucalyptus is added at $75 and a free Lemon at $95. Shipping Protection doesn't count toward these.
What if I don't like it?
